> FAQs

1. Isn't it costly?
Not at all. Compared with traditional advertising such as the Yellow pages, a website is far cheaper. Unlike a static advert, a website reaches a global audience and can be continually changed to meet the ongoing needs and requirements of your business.

2. My website is a waste of time?
Merely having a website will not benefit you - it must be actively promoted in order to gain site visits. A good effective design will then convert visitors to your site into customers. Bluewater Webs design websites that will become a valuable asset to your business.

3. Why aren't I appearing on search engines?
There is a skill involved in achieving a good listing on search engines. The website must be designed in a certain way; it must be resubmitted regularly and monitored on an ongoing basis. Bluewater Webs provide this service as part of our web design package.

4  Whats the design process?
Initially, we will meet with you to find out about your business and discuss your website requirements. We will then start the design work which you can view online. We will work together with you, allowing you as much involvement as you wish and will be happy to work within your timing constraints.

5. How can I monitor my site performance?
We will provide you with monthly website statistics that will indicate how many site visitors your website has had, which pages they are viewing and even which search engines and directories they have come from. The site statistics will allow you to alter the website or its marketing strategy accordingly.

6. How do people find my site?
People who do not have your web address will use search engines and directories to find your site. A search engine is a computer generated collection of web sites which will display a list of relevant sites when a search phrase is entered. Directories are similar to standard directories such as the Yellow Pages - websites are catagorised allowing the Internet user to locate them easily and quickly.

7. I am not trying to sell anything on the Internet, will the web work for me?

If you have a product to sell, then the Internet offers the most effective medium to do this. However, many people use the Internet as a source to gather information and we have designed many informational sites for clients who are in the service sector.

8. I don't know much about computers, is this a problem?

Not at all! The Internet is another advertising medium which being in business you will be familiar with. If it's the technical stuff your worried about, then don't - we are not 'techheads' and will explain everything to you in simple English language.
